My great, great, great, grand father was 1st cousins to Abraham Lincoln
on the Canadian side of my family.
Here is the story of how I am related to Abraham Lincoln.
A bit before 1800, two families came to America.
The family from Germany were Ryckmans. (My mother's mother was a Ryckman from St. Thomas, Ontario Canada.)
The family from England was Lincoln. Both families settled in Pennsylvania.
The Lincoln's had a boy and a girl.
The boy married in Pennsylvania and hand a son named; Abraham.
The girl married a Ryckman and had a son named John. So, John
and Abraham were first cousins.
